History
Founded in 1983 as New Life Children’s Services, our organization emerged from the vision of A.B. “Bo” Henderson, then associate pastor at Houston Northwest Baptist Church. Through his counseling work with women facing crisis pregnancies, Henderson recognized the need for comprehensive adoption services and undertook the challenging process of obtaining state licensing in Texas.
While originally connected to Houston Northwest Baptist Church, New Life has since become an independent organization. In 2005, we expanded our services by joining Focus On The Family’s Operation Ultrasound Program and establishing pregnancy resource centers in Magnolia and Cypress.
A significant transition occurred in 2014 when we streamlined our focus and formally changed our name to New Life Adoptions. This change coincided with the strategic decision to conclude our pregnancy center operations.
Since 2015, we have concentrated exclusively on two core missions: supporting women experiencing unplanned pregnancies and facilitating adoptions as a Christian adoption agency.
In 2019, we took a significant step forward by expanding beyond Houston to inform, educate, and serve clients across Texas. Since then, we have experienced considerable growth, reaching more women in need and increasing the number of successful adoptive placements.
Our Mission
Our mission is to give hope and offer choice as we empower pregnant women to make the best life-affirming decisions for themselves and their babies.
Our Vision
New Life Adoptions envisions a world where every unborn child is given the opportunity of life: where shame and fear do not play a part in the decisions an expectant mother makes for her child, a culture where the stigmas of adoption are erased, and the choice of adoption is better understood.
